Michigan House Rabbit Society
Sanctuary and Special Needs Rabbits
(Not available for adoption.)
In addition to our education and fostering programs, we are
occasionally able to take in a few sanctuary rabbits who require special
care. These rabbits often have long-term illness or disability which
requires ongoing supportive care. In many cases, these rabbits are not
adoptable and they will remain with us for the rest of their lives.

Annie (left) and Charlie (right): a girl
and boy who watch out for each other. They are the best of friends.
Rescued over the winter from being abandoned in the snow, they still
maintain a strong bond of affection for each other. |

| Jeremy is the most noble, loving bun one could
imagine. Sometimes fondly referred to as our "little prince,"
he loves just being around his human friends. Jeremy has had a bit
of an ongoing battle with a stuffy nose, and is currently on a regimen
of daily visits to the nebulizer. |

Daisy is a very special girl. She was being raised for meat before she came to us! She was quite sick and required lots of supportive care. She's feeling quite a bit better now. We credit much of her success to her dear friend (pictured with Daisy). Daisy loves her bear very much. She grooms him, snuggles with him and moves him around! |
